5 MSU students win scholarships to attend Student Boot Camp—Leadership Camp in the Republic of Bulgaria

On May 26, 2022, Asst. Prof. Dr. Peera Phanlukthao, Assistant to the President for International Affairs and Development of Global Engagement together with staff from Division of International Affairs and 5 students from the College of Politics and Administration and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences visited Prof. Dr. Prayook Srivilai, President of Mahasarakham University at Meeting Room 3, Office of the president, Mahasarakham University to receive a testimony on the opportunity to receive an exchange scholarship under the FRIENDS project, which is a joint venture of Mahasarakham University under Erasmus+. The students will join Student Boot Camp—Leadership Camp, during June 3 – July 5, 2022 at Varna University of Management, Republic of Bulgaria.
The students have applied to join the project and pass the test by participating in activities, including registering for an Intercultural Passport, taking IACD MOOC online courses, and applying for a Digital Storytelling Contest that explores intercultural experiences.
Erasmus+: This is an EU program supporting education, training, youth and sport in Europe with a budget of more than 14.7 billion euros, the cooperation in 55 countries including 34 Program Countries and Partner Countries with aiming to exchange knowledge and education between countries, build friendship and give opportunities for students all over the world to study in the European Union.
FRIENDS program under Erasmus+, the capacity building program for international relations and cultural inclusion, this is to promote diversity of universities and to support internationalization at Mahasarakham University. It is a joint project of 16 universities from 9 countries in Asia and Europe
The FRIENDS program supporting and driving sustainable development in several goals includes:
– Goal 4: Ensuring that everyone has a comprehensive, qualitative, and equal education which supports lifelong learning opportunities
– Goal 5:Achieving gender equality and empowering women and girls
– Goal 10: Reduce inequality within and between countries
– Goal 17: Strengthening partnerships by working with the community
